Conduct and Information

EXPECTIONS: Athletes must make a personal commitment to apply and conduct themselves appropriately during practices, track meets and in public. Respectful conduct and behavior is required at all time. Our Coaching staff will not "babysit' athletes but will correct, direct and re-direct athletes as appropriate to Track & Field conduct. Athletes' positive and humble behavior throughout successes and failures should be intact. Every moment is a teachable moment. If our Coaching staff is not able to appropriately manage a defiant athlete the Coaching staff is sanctioned to dismiss the athlete and discussion of further action may be conducted. Adult guardian of registered athletes are expected to attend practices and meets.

Participants and spectators should CLEARLY understand our expectations! The support of our community is most valuable. Volunteers are essential for a successful season. Spring season runs from late February thru May. *By having well-trained volunteers, our Coaches will be able to focus on athletes instead of monitor where an athlete is or should be for events. Please note, track meet dates and times are subject to change with little or short notice.

*Saturday Track meets typically begin at 8am. Arrive at 7:00 am.

*Saturday Field events typically begin at 8:30am/9am

*Sunday Track meets typically begin at 12pm. Arrive at 10:30 am.

*Sunday Field events typically begin at 12:30pm/1pm

Due to new guidelines, a minimum of guardian volunteers on track and field events may be enforced. Guidelines are subject to change without notice. We, the Pebblebrook Jr. Falcons, are more than a track club, were a track family!

MEETS: Track meets will be hosted each weekend, possibly on both Saturdays and Sundays, late February thru early May. The number of meet sites per weekend will be determined by the CCYTL Board members based on total athlete registration counts yet to be determined. Athletes must compete in a minimum of 3 Cobb County Youth Track League track meets to qualify to participate in the Cobb County Championship Track Meet and qualifying meets there after. Missing events in an entered meet will incur a $5 fee per event, per athlete payable to AMATEUR ADVOCATE ASSOCIATION INC. (Memo: PJF Track).

CHAMPIONSHIP: CCYTL (www.ccytl.org) will host a county championship as well as a grand finale meet (if meet dates permit) for all our member clubs, where team trophies and individual athlete awards will be presented.

OTHER AFFILATES: Please visit CCYTL.org for more information. Cobb County Youth Track League is a volunteer organization supporting approximately 1800 athletes! Athletes from ages 5 to 14 years old can join. Must be 14 years of age as of Dec 31 of the current year.

GRPA - Corona Virus (COVID 19)

The state has a public health hotline on the COVID-19 Virus that can be reached at 866-782-4584. You can also stay up to date by visiting Cobb's website at cobbcounty.org/communications/news/cobb-county-and-covid-19-coronavirus-situation

Cobb and Douglas Public Health staff recommend residents follow these guidelines for reducing the spread of any respiratory illness:

*Wash your hands with soap and water often

*Cover your coughs and sneezes, preferably with a tissue and throw that tissue away

*Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

*Stay home from school or work (except to get medical care) if you are ill

*Call ahead before visiting your doctor

*Separate yourself from other people when you are ill

*Avoid sharing personal household items with others who are ill

*Clean all “high-touch” surfaces every day

Be Well!
